His Excellency The President ,Rtd. Brigadier Julius Maada Bio appointed Alhaji Kanja Sesay as the Minister of Energy and was approved by the fifth Parliament of the second Republic on the 4th of May 2018. Minister Alhaji Kanja Sesay has a wealth of experience in the Public Sector having served as Commissioner for the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) during the Tejan Kabba led Government.

MINISTER

Alhaji Kanja Sesay

Raymond T. Gbetuwa.

The Civil Service is the arm of Government that deals with all administrative duties of Government with the Permanent Secretaries being the Vote Controllers in the Ministries. Mr Raymond T. Gbetuwa is the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Energy. Having served as Permanent Secretary in a number of Ministries , he has wealth of experience in the civil service.

The Ministry of Energy also has the Directorate of Energy which is the technical wing of the Ministry that comprises Engineers and other professionals in Energy. This directorate is headed by the Chief Director of Energy, Ing Benjamin Kamara.
